We had a great time; you did a perfect job with all the bookings, suggestions etc., much appreciated. Also the car and camping kit worked out really well. We will definitely recommend Bushlore to whoever plans a similar trip and I hope one day we may do something similar again to a different country in Africa.
Just to thank you for the exellent service that we have experienced from all of you at Bushlore, Brian in particular.Your equipment is of high quality, and 100% functional.
It was a pleasure from day one, to enjoy the the well-planned layout, and the ease of the tent arrangements.Bushlore has really scored the highest possible marks in my book.
I only hope that by next year when we plan to do the Baviaans kloof route, you will have a 3litre engine available. The 2.5 battles to get the vehicle over a nasty dune as the load with 4 persons is quite heavy. If not,we will still go ahead with our plans - just gear down a bit more!
You may refer any prospective customer to me,if he is in doubt of Bushlore or your equipment.
We (Finn Gade Jensen,Katia Gade Johansson & Mai-Britt Johansson) went on safaritour to Kruger National Park ( KNP ) from 15.Dec.-20.Dec.2010.
We want to thank you for choosing Niel as our guide. He spotted a lot of animals, also far away, and told us about them in a living and exciting way.
He also told us about the birds, trees and flowers and he happily answered our questions.
We spend 6 very amazing days with him driving around in KNP and we learned how to spot the animals.
As for the rare animals we saw the big 5, cheetah, wild dogs, hyaena, black rhino, some croc´s and southern ground hornbill.
We even were so lucky that we saw a rock python suffocate a baby impala.
We have only good words to say about Niel Jacobs and will highly recommend him to anybody who wants to go on safari.
As for your company we chose you, because it is a very good idea with the tent on the rooftop of the car, as we like to camp in tent, but were afraid of sleeping on the ground.
We also like the idea with selfdrive with a guide, so you don´t sit in a bus.
It was our first time in KNP (maybe not the last), so we needed a guide.
We are from Denmark and see foxes sometimes. We also have badgers but have never seen one except in the zoo. We have 2 kind of snakes:
Grass snake (not poissonous) and viper(poisonous to small children and if you are allergic).

Wanted to send an email just to confirm that both trucks were picked up at the Windhoek airport.
Also, wanted to let you know how happy we were with trucks, we had no problems at all (and met many folks that rented with other companies that had many problems). Very happy with trucks, tents, camping equipment etc. You had everything well sorted for us, thank you. We will definitely recommend Bushlore and rent again on our next visit to South Africa. Best Regards sharon
Dear Mark and Everyone,
I am not very good with words, but I want to thank you All from Bushlore (don’t forget Simão) for your kindness and support whenever I needed. The car was great, very well equipped and your services excellent. Hope there will be a next time, and be sure, I will recommend your company.
Wish you ALL the BEST.
I have made several reservations for the month of June with one of your team namely Christeen Steenkamp, I would just like to let you know that it has been ages since I have received service like this. In a potentially difficult booking situation Christeen has taken away all the hassles and turned a deal direct and worrisome experience into a total pleasure from SA.
Please convey my thanks and I shall be sure to let anyone I know that is interested in bookings into Botswana know about your company and Christeen’s service.
Good afternoon Clyde,
Well, we've just been dropped at the airport by Dixie (I'm sure I've butchered his name spelling) and Sandy and I would like to thank the entire bushlore crew for a fantastic, flaw free, holiday!
It ended on a touch of a sour note as Dixie ran out of fuel just as he was pulling away from the airport however. We'd left 1/4 tank of fuel in the car as instructed by Rob when we picked the vehicle up so I don't know what went wrong. We felt really badly and bought Dixie lunch while he waited for help to arrive. He surmises that perhaps there's something wrong with the guage as the warning light didn't come on and the guage just dropped at the last minute? Either way we felt badly.
I did notice a couple minor dash gremlins- a few times the e-brake light stayed on even with the brake off and at times the dash turn signal didn't come on even though the turn signals were working properly outside the car. Minor stuff.
The radio antenna fell of somewhere in Botswana, I think we lost a mud flap somewhere (the left rear is missing now and I can't remember if it was on when we got the car) and the left rear hub cap is gone.
And we lost the big steel barbecue flipper somewhere as well.
Bush-lore provided us with an extra cooler box for the trip, but we bought a larger one in Maun and just left it with the car.
Thanks again to everyone at Bushlore Clyde!
Sandy and Geoff Wade
I just wanted to say a huge thanks for all your help and patience in sorting out the vehicle and equipment. Moreover, the whole set up was immaculate, well thought out and wonderfully efficient. I really couldn't find one grumble and we were thrilled to have a brand new vehicle (and even more happy with its fuel consumption!)
Stefan Kohrs from Out of Africa was absolutely right when he recommended Bushlore as being the no. 1 choice, and I hope to recommend you to anyone else lucky enough to take a trip around Southern Africa.
Hope the World Cup is treating you well
Best regards, Liz Metcalfe
Hello Clyde and the team,
just dropping you a line to once again thank you for your service.
We found dealing with Bushlore very easy and accommodating and would recommend you to anyone who was thinking of booking a Safari wagon.
We want to let you know that we really did not expect to get a brand new Land Rover, so fully equiped.
At the moment we are in Swakopmund and are heading for Etosha.
So far this vacation is a really great experience, also thanks to Bushlore!!
Hendrik & Connie Voeten
Just to compliment you on providing us with such excellent service with our recent 4X4 hire vehicle. The delivery and hand over by Mandla was so friendly and efficient on top of the fact that you provided us with a brand new Toyota.....just 196 kms on the clock !!. The relaxed yet professional attitude of all your staff was a pleasure and it all helped to make our trip to Botswana such a success.
Thank you, we will be back for the next trip.
Kind regards, Wallace Paterson
You told me Bushlore is good at knowing their business and I could easily write I agree with you, but that would not really tell the whole story.
The night before heading back to Johannesburg, we enjoyed a beer along side the campfire in Khwai and racked our brains trying to find something Bushlore did wrong or didn't do or didn't provide or some crappy equipment that you gave us and Mark, we have experience at finding things that are wrong, broken or inconsistent and I'm honestly telling you we could not find one thing wrong with your camper, your camping setup or your customer service.
Bushlore's remarkable attention to detail goes far beyond just "dong it right" and ventures into the "honest concern" and "caring for your customer" category.
And we should know, because Bushlore is the third camper rental company we've tried. In fact, we discovered that Bushlore's comprehensive equipment list and stout, well maintained campers contain everything you'd need for a self drive safari in Africa and as unbelievable as it sounds, after 4,400 km in a Bushlore camper, I'm pleased to report, nothing failed, nothing went wrong and nothing wasn't there.
The crystal wine glasses in the crush proof container were a particularly nice touch.
Really good show Mark, Bushlore's attention to detail could only come from someone that not only cares if it's done right, but better than right, as if you were setting up a camper for your family trip.
My only wish is that Bushlore would start working for the phone company, the cable TV company and the US government. Imagine the miracles you can work there.

We just arrived back in Leipzig, Germany.
The first is, that I want to thank you, Mark and the bushlore people for your support in preparation and during our holidays. The car was one of the best we had during the last four years! We had a wonderful time and made it from Pretoria to Chobe, South Luangwa, Luambe NP, North Luangwa, Lake Tanganjika, Kafue back to Chobe, Kubu Island and at last to wonderful Waterberg Wilderness. It was a really great experience! Thank you and your people again!
Be sure we will recommend you and the bushlore team to other friends and we will put a recommendation on my website (when it will be updated during the next weeks)!
Warm regards from Germany,
I would like to let you know about a company that advertises in your magazine. The company is Bushlore. When you are planning an extensive trip from over 12,000 miles away, you want everything to go just right. Thanks to Mark, Rob & Chris at Bushlore our trip was great. They went out of their way to accommodate us and to make our trip hassel free. We highly recommend them to anyone who is planning on renting a vehicle. They are very helpful, friendly and terrific to work with.
I would just like to say that what an amazing experience I had last week on my birthday safari in South Africa in one of your 4x4 vehicles with the fantastic guide Daryl Smith. He was an amazingly knowledgeable guide who knows about all there is to know of the native animals and birds, their environment and habits. He was an excellent cook, host and very pleasant chap to spend time with. This made my trip with my daughter and her partner more enjoyable. Daryl is a very modest and polite man. He endeavoured to stick to the itinerary but was excellent at adapting this for our preferences (mine being elephants! - of which we saw hundreds!). We were lucky to have seen all of the big 5 in a short time, also lots of rare and endangered species. Daryl kept us safe at all times and had excellent people skills. he is a safe and competent driver and route planner.
The lovely land rover we had has now been named Boadicea as she is a conquering queen of the Kruger roads and tracks.
Thanks again for making my birthday trip a forever memorable and humbling experience. Huge regards to Daryl and I will be recommending your company to others when you are providing excellent services!
Thanks and regards

Hello all at Bushlore.com,
Just a note to say thanks for making our trip to SA the best experience it could have been and thanks also to Chris Deffense for his friendly manner and helpful advice.
We saw amazing things and found the Defender a superb tool for the job, whilst I'm on the subject what colour is the Defender we hired as I can't seem to find it on the Land rover website as a colour option? Do you have them resprayed specially for you? If so could you tell me the colour code so that I can get some in the UK?
Once again thanks to all for a trouble free experience and I'll be recommending you to all.
Ps: Love the door stickers also, any chance I could buy some? (Paw print)
Just a note to thank you for your advise and route suggestion during our trip to Botswana in November/December.
The trip was excellent although we “cheated” a bit and opted for 2 extra lodges instead of the camps you booked for us.
The vehicles and service in general from Mark was exceptional.
Thank you and best regards
Dear Mark, Rob, Clyde
and the whole team from Bushlore
My parents-in-law and their friends arrived home yesterday afternoon. I wanted to thank you in their name for the as always very good service you provided. They enjoyed their Trip through Namibia and South Africa with your Toyota Hilux immensely. They went the first time without Adrian and me and everything went well partly because they had no problem with the car. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
thank you very much for your service concerning our 4x4 rental from the 23rd Oct. to 9th of Nov. A Landrover in superb condition and a more than complete camp equipment, was more than we expected! Your guys and your company did a great job to make our trip not an adventure but pure holidays
I hope you didn’t have too much work in maintaining our returned vehicle ;-)
Thanks again and I hope to return to S.A. soon,
Just wanted to thank you and the Bushlore team for providing first class service. The Landrover we picked up at the airport was fitted out with absolutely every piece of gear we could dream of and the tents on the roof were great. The tent on the roof solution also made us feel better with the family of warthogs running around the Pretoriuskop camp in Kruger Park. We were absolutely dry, even with some heavy rain at night. The fridge in the back of the car worked perfectly throughout our 7 day trip. Your recommendation of choosing the higher vehicle was on target as we could usually see over the high grass. My son and I had a fantastic and memorable trip.
I think you'll be hearing from friends of ours in Israel.
Last Wednesday we delivered our Hilux at the very kind Brian (the father of Rob I understand). Cora and I like to compliment Bushlore for the good service and the never failing car that was nearly our home for 30 days. We met a lot of people that were interested in your company. Many of them did not know that this type of full equipped cars are for hire. Maybe there will be new interested customers………
The first time in South-Africa was a wonderfull experience and SA (people and nature) has stolen our harts and that is the reason we will come back next year to SA. We already booked our flight by KLM!
Well, as you see we are very enthousiastic about SA & Bushlore.
I again would like to thank the entire Bushlore Team for supporting our vacation with the well equiped Landrover and the perfect service. Special thanks to Rob - your recommendation on the route was perfect, certainly we come again and spend some more time at mana pools and moremi.
Waterberg Wilderness Reserve - an ideal stopover on the way to Botswana.
